Welcome to Maple Center for Science Technology and Economy Development (MapleSTC). We are committed to building an equitable, respectful, diverse, and non-discriminatory learning environment for all learners and stakeholders.

2. About MapleSTC

MapleSTC (international operating name: Maple Institute of Strategy, Technology and Commerce) is a training and academic support institution that guides pathways for learners.

MapleSTC provides services including lectures, learning resources, an online learning platform, AI Tutor, workshops, and academic guidance strictly aligned with the standards of the Association of Business Executives (ABE), UK.

3. About the ABE Program

ABE Global Ltd is an international Awarding Body. ABE is responsible for managing assessment results, issuing subject certificates, Diploma qualifications, and official transcripts.

MapleSTC is an authorized training provider for delivering the program, but does not have the authority to make final result decisions or directly issue official ABE qualifications.

UK RQF FRAMEWORK

4. ABE Qualification Structure

The ABE qualification programs at MapleSTC fall under the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) of the United Kingdom. The transfer programs focus on Levels 4, 5, and 6, each with distinct requirements regarding competencies and academic integrity thresholds.

Level 4 Diploma Equivalent to Year 1 of a UK Bachelor's Degree. Focuses on foundational business knowledge, critical thinking, and academic skills.
Level 5 Diploma Equivalent to Year 2 of a UK Bachelor's Degree. Develops advanced management competencies, analytical thinking, and strategic decision-making.
Level 6 Diploma Equivalent to Final Year (Honours Degree level). Focuses on executive leadership, global strategic management, and practical research.

5. Admissions & Enrollment

Entry requirements and international membership registration.

Admissions and enrollment are based on the alignment between the learner's academic background, English proficiency, and goals. Learners should note that enrollment at MapleSTC and registration as an ABE member are two separate processes; learners wishing to receive international qualifications must complete registration with ABE and pay the associated fees.

5.1 Admission Process

1. Admission requirements Admissions are evaluated based on academic background and career goals.
2. Application submission Candidates submit an application form or sign a service agreement/enrollment form.
3. Document verification Verification of identity documents (National ID/Passport) and relevant diplomas/certificates.
4. English proficiency verification Assessment of English language ability to ensure capacity to study.
5. Tuition payment Payment of tuition fees to MapleSTC according to the invoice and schedule.
6. Student ID creation Issuance of a student ID number to manage internal records and progress.
7. ABE Registration Assistance with registering for an ABE membership ID to gain international recognition of assessment results.
8. Orientation Participation in an orientation session covering academic regulations and academic integrity.
9. LMS account activation Activation of the online learning system account and AI Tutor.

6. Learner Journey

Learners will undergo a learning journey from attending lectures, engaging in project-based learning, and building a competency portfolio to participating in official assessment series. Throughout this process, learners are supported by a modern learning system and a team of advisors.

7. Academic Support

MapleSTC provides academic support services such as guidelines on citation methods, responsible AI usage, and support for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) applications.

* RPL: RPL allows learners to receive credit for previously acquired knowledge or skills so they do not have to retake equivalent content.

8. Assessments & Exams

Internal Assessment Conducted to award MapleSTC Course Completion Certificates.
Official ABE Assessment Includes major assignments or Open Book Examinations (OBE), graded and issued by ABE.

9. Open Book Examination (OBE)

OBE is an open-book exam format that allows learners to use reference materials to solve practical business scenarios within a specified timeframe.

Mandatory Submission Rules:

  • Strictly comply with formatting guidelines: PDF format.
  • Required file naming convention: UnitCode_CentreCode_MembershipNumber
  • Submit work on time via the system according to the specified deadline.
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

10. Academic Integrity & 11. Plagiarism & Misconduct

Academic integrity requires all submitted work to be the original creation of the learner. Learners must fully cite sources according to Harvard standards and sign an academic integrity commitment upon submission. MapleSTC enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding acts of plagiarism, collusion, or contract cheating (hiring others to complete work).

"Three Strikes" Policy

Repeated or severe violations will face strict disciplinary procedures. Repeated violations may lead to loss of membership status and permanent cancellation of registration by ABE.

Academic Policies & Procedures

12. Equality & Diversity

We ensure all learners have fair access to learning opportunities without discrimination based on disability, gender, religion, or ethnic origin. Any harassment or misconduct will be handled strictly.

13. Conflict of Interest

Learners and staff must declare any personal, family, or financial relationships that could affect objectivity in admissions, assessment, or file processing.

14. Appeals

Learners have the right to request a review of MapleSTC's internal decisions within 10 working days. For official ABE results, learners must follow ABE's specific appeal process and fee schedule.

15. Complaints

Complaints regarding service quality or staff behavior should be submitted in writing within 01 month from the date of occurrence. MapleSTC commits to protecting complainants from any form of retaliation.

16. Refund Policy

MapleSTC Tuition Fee: 100% refund (minus administrative fees) if requested at least 04 days prior to the start date. No refund will be granted after 04 days from the start date.
ABE Fees: Refunds are determined by ABE; registration fees are typically only refundable within 14 days and are subject to an administrative deduction.

17. Data Protection

MapleSTC protects learners' personal information and academic data. Data is only shared with authorized entities such as ABE on a "need-to-know" basis for training and assessment purposes.

18. Reasonable Adjustments & Special Consideration

Learners with disabilities or long-term difficulties may request support (such as extra exam time) accompanied by medical evidence at least 07 working days prior to the exam. For unexpected incidents during exam periods, learners may apply for special consideration.

19. Learner Responsibilities

Independent Work Completing assignments independently and maintaining academic integrity.
Learning Equipment Equipping themselves with devices and a stable internet connection for learning.
Financial Obligations Paying all fees fully and on time.
Schedule Monitoring Monitoring and adhering to key dates for result announcements and submission deadlines.
